Information we collect

Broadly, a link management service handles three kinds of data: account details you provide when signing up, the destination URLs you choose to shorten, and technical information recorded when somebody opens one of your links.
- Account data — name, email address and password (stored only as a hash).
- Link data — the destination you entered, any alias you chose, and settings such as expiry.
- Click data — approximate country, device type, browser, operating system and referring site.
Visitor IP addresses
When someone opens a short link, their network address is used to derive an approximate country and to prevent the same visitor being counted repeatedly within a short window.
The address itself is stored as a keyed hash rather than in readable form, which means click history cannot be traced back to an individual address after the fact.
How the data is used
To operate the redirect, produce the analytics shown in your dashboard, prevent abuse of the platform, and communicate with you about your account.

How long it is kept
Click records are kept for the retention window associated with your plan, after which they are deleted automatically. Account data is kept while your account is open.
